Witches Wands! Chocolate Covered Pretzel Rods with Sprinkles

Witches Wands! Chocolate Covered Pretzel Rods, by 2sistersrecipes.com

Witches Wands!  With Halloween around the corner, chocolate covered pretzel rods with sprinkles is a fun project for kids to do on the weekend.  My kids named these… Witches Wands! …and just in time for Halloween next week.  A quick treat to make in under 10 minutes!

I found these orange and brown sprinkles, and thought they would be great to use for some of the treats for this holiday week.

Dark chocolate covered pretzel rods with sprinkles are crunchy, salty and has enough chocolate to satisfy your craving.  They are so good!  Who wouldn’t want one?  This will surely appeal to all the kids in us!

Fun idea to serve these “witches wands” at a Halloween party along with other treats.  They’re also easy to place a few colorful pretzel rods in clear gift bags; just seal them with matching colored ribbons and use them as party gift bags to give out at the end of the night. Cute idea!

Witches Wands! Chocolate Covered Pretzel Rods with Sprinkles

  • 1 package of Pretzel Rods
  • 1/4 pound of dark chocolate (chips or bars)
  • 2 tsp. heavy cream
  • 1 small jar of orange and brown chocolate sprinkles

Using a double boiler on low heat, melt dark chocolate.
Add 2 teaspoons of heavy cream to give a smooth texture and a nice consistency to the chocolate.

Line a cookie sheet with wax paper and set it nearby.
Dip one pretzel rod at a time, or spoon the chocolate onto each rod. Gently shake off the excess.
Hold the rod over a bowl and gently sprinkle the pretzel rod with the colored sprinkles.
Then place the rods onto a cookie sheet lined with wax paper.  Repeat with each pretzel rod.

Allow to cool completely.  Refrigerate for a few minutes until the chocolate sets.

Yields: about 12 witches wands!

  1. I want to make some witch wands! What a great idea for a class Halloween party! Chocolate covered pretzels are one of my favorite treats and I'm always picking up the dark chocolate ones from Trader Joes, they go so fast! 🙂

    1. Isn't that funny, I used to make these years ago for class parties too when my kids were in elementary school. Then they started to pop up in candy stores every where.

  2. What a genius idea for the kids to do! I think I will make these for my kids Halloween party this weekend as a party gift baggie….. 🙂 Joanne S.
