You can melt dark chocolate either on stove top or in a microwave. Rinse strawberries under cold water, then gently pat dry on paper towels. Be careful, chocolate hates water. If it comes in contact, it will be unworkable. Take each one, using the stem, and dip 3/4 of the strawberry into the chocolate and place onto a serving platter lined with wax paper.
No need to refrigerate them, and no need for plates or spoons when serving. It's fun and easy to make this dessert anytime! Enjoy!
- 1 pound fresh strawberries, rinsed, pat dry
- 6 ounce dark chocolate, melted
- sheet of wax paper
Using a double boiler, or microwave, melt dark chocolate.
Quickly dip each strawberry by stem and rotate 3/4 into the chocolate.
Place onto a plate lined with wax paper to cool.
Allow chocolate to cool complelely. You may refrigerate if needed.
Serve within 12 hours.
