No Bake, Dairy-Free Chocolate Cream Pie

Imagine a delicious chocolate cream pie that requires NO baking and is DAIRY-FREE ?  It's a pie that has some protein and is surprisingly low in fat and low in calories!  Of course,  I had to make this pie to see for myself what everyone on the Doctor Oz show was actually talking about!

If you know Anna, you know what a loyal fan she is of the Dr. Oz show. She even made an appearance as his assistant on his television show, and she got this recipe from Dr. Oz himself!

Non-dairy chocolate cream pie is made with only 5 ingredients, semi-sweet chocolate, honey, coffee liqueur, vanilla and creamy Tofu!  The Tofu is the base for this pie giving its creamy and smooth texture, and the flavor of chocolate, well that goes without saying ..  IT WAS FABULOUS!  And,  it took only 5 minutes to make!

Tofu replaces the eggs and butter, making this pie dairy-free and adding protein instead of the FAT.   Only 230 calories per serving!   Delicious!

A creamy, silky smooth texture with the rich taste of chocolate, is a chocolate pie you can indulge into without the guilt!    I was impressed!  Everyone can really enjoy this one!

No Bake, Dairy-Free Chocolate Cream Pie

  • 12 ounces semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup coffee liqueur
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 14 ounce Tofu Soft Silken
  • 1 Tbsp. honey
  • 1 ready chocolate pie crust, 9 inch
  • Optional: white chocolate shavings for garnish

In a double boiler, melt chocolate chips and stir in the coffee liqueur. Set aside.
Open the Tofu package and drain the liquid.

In a food processor,  or blender, blend Silken Tofu, honey and vanilla.
Blend for about 2 minutes.
Add chocolate mixture to the Blender with Tofu mixture, and on high speed puree for a few minutes, until mixture is well combined.

Pour chocolate mixture into a 9 inch pie crust.  Garnish with some white chocolate shavings on top.
Chill for 3 to 4 hours, or over night is best.

Yields: 8- 12  slices
