Our family and especially the kids LOVE pasta anytime during the week. And I think you'll love making this pasta dish for your family as much as we do, because you can make this pasta dish in practically 15 minutes. Saving you time and money.
It is a quick and easy way to put dinner or lunch on the table for the entire family! Summertime is wonderful for quick and easy dishes like this one to whip up especially during those hot summer days. And, if you are like me....getting tired of eating grilled BBQ meats for the past few days, then this is a nice change.
Enjoy!
- 1 pound Thin Spaghetti - broken into pieces
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 6 to 7 garlic cloves - sliced in halves
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 2 packages Baby Broccoli Florets
- 5 cups water
- parmigiano reggiano cheese
In a large pasta pot, heat olive oil with garlic cloves and crushed red pepper flakes, until garlic turns golden brown.
In the meantime, open the packages of broccoli and pour them into
a colander and rinse under cool water for about 1 minute.
When garlic is golden brown, add the broccoli and stir for about 2 minutes.
Add salt and 5 cups of water.
Bring to boil.
Add spaghetti to the broccoli mixture and stir constantly.
Cook for 5 to 6 minutes.
When the water is almost absorbed, taste the pasta for al dente or to your liking.
Taste for salt and adjust if needed. When pasta is ready.
Place spaghetti with broccoli into pasta bowls and serve immediately.
Add some parmigiano cheese on top and enjoy!
Serves 6-8
